Sports and politics take a special breed of person. Dedication, passion – those are two of the most important qualities that have taken Cobb YRs Steven Ellis far. In high school, he won pizza for his friends and himself by being the most ardent Georgia Tech fan at a college baseball game (even though he wasn’t a fan), and it taught him two important lessons. First, he could advocate for a cause he believed in – pizza or politics. Second, he had a talent for making a scene in public when he really needed to.
Personalities of all sorts run through the Young Republicans, and we should never hesitate to exclaim the virtues of our own whenever given the chance. In fact, the Georgia Young Republicans are a better group of people statewide precisely because of the personalities of our members, and Steven is no exception. Just make sure to attend pizza night at the game with him when it runs out at the next volunteer meeting!
