Melissa Blazer, Buckhead

Try imagining getting around Atlanta without a car, or any city for that matter.  If you’re like most Georgians, you probably can’t.  It’s part and parcel that in Georgia, you are driving if you need to get somewhere.  To get a little backstory on how that works, though, talk to Buckhead’s Melissa Blazer.  The Chicago-native didn’t get a license to drive until she was 28!!!  Who needs it when the snow falls endlessly and there is nowhere to park?

The greatest thing about the Young Republicans is that it is open for anyone to join, and Georgia is no exception.  The fact that Georgia earned a new congressional seat as a result of its explosive growth is a testament to folks like Melissa who chose our state as their home.  Melissa, and all our neighbors from around the world, that choose the Georgia Young Republicans make us better for it!
