Leaders Today

The Georgia Young Republicans (GYR) had much to celebrate on Nov. 2. Republicans were elected to every statewide office for the first time in history, plus we picked up a congressional seat after defeating an incumbent Democrat. We increased our majorities in both the House and Senate and our congressional delegation.

On Nov. 2, 22 Georgia Young Republicans were on the ballot, and 18 of them were elected, including two to Congress, Tom Graves (GA-9) and Austin Scott (GA-8) and National Committeeman Josh McKoon to the State Senate. Overall, we elected the following number of Young Republicans to office: two to Congress, 13 to the State House, one to the State Senate, one to the State Labor Commission, and one to the county School Board. This proves once again that we are not the future of the GOP. We are its leaders today.
