Georgia Young Republicans Announce the award of the YRNF 2011 Annual Fall Board Meeting – PRESS RELEASE, 10.19.2011

Atlanta, GA – October 19, 2011 – The Georgia Young Republicans (GYR) has been awarded hosting rights to the YRNF 2011 Annual Fall Board Meeting by the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF).  GYR will host the event at the Westin Peachtree Plaza on November 11-13, 2011.  Invited speakers are top Georgia Republicans, including Herman Cain, Congressman Tom Graves, Congressman Phil Gingrey, Congressman Jack Kingston, and others.

Annually, the YRNF awards hosting rights to federations as recognition for their talents and accomplishments.  Board meetings offer a mixture of business meetings and social events that offer Young Republicans from across the country the opportunity to prepare for upcoming Republican efforts.  GYR expects between 150-200 attendees from 47 different state YR organizations, representing one the largest gathering of young professional Republicans in the early presidential campaign season.  Past board meetings have been hosted in Chicago, Illinois and Denver, Colorado.

“This shows the positive work GYR is doing,” said Cameron Fash, GYR Chairman.  “We have the largest chapter in the Southeast, we have some of the best developing chapters in the country, and our state organization is pushing along at full speed.”  Fash also highlighted that GYR was awarded with the Event of the Year for a fundraiser hosted for Congressman Austin Scott.

Developments will be announced on the GYR’s dedicated board meeting website, http://www.yrnfatl.com.  Media are encouraged to attain credentials for the event, as security will be tight and controlled.  Credentials can be obtained by contacting GYR Communications Director Robert Lee by phone at 815.347.0294 or by email at rwlee2@gmail.com.
