"Blacks" "reaching out to minority groups", it is this type of thought that perpetuates distrust of all representatives despite party affiliation. Americans should not be sorted into demographics, much less an ethnic category, it alienates everyone involved. If the Republican party, GOP would simply address the common issues that all AMERICANS are concerned with, to gain Trust you must be Truthful, and I am afraid that is something that neither Dems or Republicans are capable of, outside of a very select few. Of these very few, Patriotic, fundamental Republicans capable of honesty and leadership, most are ignored for their "fringe" thinking. Ron Paul being one of the most inspiring individuals to rise above the noise in along time! Instead the GOP align themselves with representatives who continually misrepresent their constituents and embarrass those inspired by TRUE REPUBLICANS. The American People are tired of political Grandstanding, empty promises, and the same ole' same ole'. Look what they did in 2008 with McCain and Palin! Embarrassing! All Republicans need to return to the fundamental ideologies of the Party and align themselves in support of representatives who uphold them! Then not only would you see a re-energized party, but a re-energized NATION.

Thanks in part to the overall disappointment people have with government you are starting to those from both political parties reassess their values and if the political group they vote for truly represents them. Blacks are starting to shed the label that all blacks are Democrats and many Republicans have doubts if the GOP is truly fiscally conservative. The next 20 years will likely lead to a political shakeup where all the rules are broken and people realign themselves politically.

As Republicans we are positioned to make great gains in demographics we once thought unlikely. In order to do so we must do better in reaching out to minority groups, building relationships with them in order to earn their trust. Republicans like Melvin Everson, Herman Cain, Ashley Bell, Michael McNeely, and Rufus Montgomery are leading the way. It is certain to be an exciting time in the life of our country.
