Chris Sanders, Atlanta

Ladies men know no bounds, and AYR’s Chris Sanders is no exception. When on a trip to Moscow in 2003, Chris was in Red Square taking photos when a group of older Russian women came up to him. Even though language proved to be a problem, Chris quickly realized what they wanted – a picture with a future political leader from Georgia. He quickly obliged, and soon he left 9 older Russian women with a memento for life.

Sports and politics take a special breed of person.  Dedication, passion – those are two of the most important qualities that have taken Cobb YRs Steven Ellis far.  In high school, he won pizza for his friends and himself by being the most ardent Georgia Tech fan at a college baseball game (even though he wasn’t a fan), and it taught him two important lessons.  First, he could advocate for a cause he believed in – pizza or politics.  Second, he had a talent for making a scene in public when he really needed to.

Elliot Echols, Rome

Elliott Echols is a 21-year old superstar athlete at Berry College in Rome, playing on the men’s tennis team in intercollegiate competition. Going into his senior season, he’s looking to make a huge impact. It doesn’t end there, though, as Echols also is credited with reviving the Berry College Republicans chapter before taking the reins as the State Chairman of the Georgia Association of College Republicans. He also re-chartered six CR chapters in a mere two months, and raised $1,200 for the President’s Day fundraiser.
